Save energy today, Turn off the lights!

You may be overlooking very easy ways to save energy. Your parents got on you about it, now it is your turn.

Tip #1...Turn off the Lights!!!

How easy is that? Well for some of us it can be hard. I know for myself personally I have struggled with the notion of turning off the lights when I leave a room or hallway.

My wife got on me so much that eventually I would turn the bathroom lights off on my way out, leaving her to take a shower in complete darkness. Hey she can't say that I wasn't paying attention.

This is something I try to do everyday, and when the electric bill comes in I know if I had a good month or not. Just keep in mind that after the kids have left for school or everyone is ready to leave the house, there may be a closet light that got left on needlessly sucking money out of your pocket and causing damage to the environment.
