We want to create more solar electricity. That's the idea here at Solar Charities.

Welcome,

Solar Charities purpose is to exploit the sun to make electricity. This Bio page is here to put names and faces of those working hard to make this a reality.

Solar Charities is working with our community leaders and school districts, the goal is to make the world a cleaner place by raising money to place solar panels on public school roofs, harnessing the sun to create clean electricity.

We can't pay you but if popularity grows there may be a chance down the road that Solar Charities will have to add other branches. But let's not get ahead of ourselves, at the moment we need people to get the word out that the website is here.

We need an army of grassroots volunteers.

In part the inspiration to start this charity was because I felt I needed to try, after I listened to one of Barak Obama's speeches. Not to get political but the man has a way about him, whatever "it" is he has "it". What I felt he said to me was, Josh, nobody is going to do it for you, we all must participate, if you have something that your really passionate about you need to get off your butt and do it.

I feel if we wait for the government to do something it will cost us ten times more while taking ten times longer to get it done. We cannot wait for that "change" to take place, we must work for it. I have worked for the government, as an enlisted man in the Navy and as a civil servent. I can tell you that I know how we end up with the $40,000 dollar hammer or $5,000 dollar toilet seat.

Solar and wind power is something that I believe is such a no brainer, the only reason we are still on the grid as a country is because we must be conditioned to do what's easy and maybe you haven't been asked to help.

So join us in our quest to get off the grid by creating solar electricity.

Sincerely,

Joshua Spoehr, the one that came up with this crazy notion.
